Chase's head snapped over to the angel when he talked about making a donation to the library. Did he mean... that some of these books would be in the library? That would be amazing. Chase would be able to look at them every day of his life practically. He didn't think he would ever grow tired of looking at the almost ancient novels.
"It would be so amazing having such old originals in the library... but definitely a locked display. Not just any one that comes in the library could touch these."
Chase whispered, in awe at the aspect of having these books there. It would add an amazing touch to the library, and that was Chase's biggest pride. The library was almost more of a home than his own home was. "I don't like how the world has drifted away from books and leaned toward technology. I'll always prefer to pick up a book." Chase said with a wide smile as he looked fondly at the angel. There was definitely something different about this guy. Chase hadn't really ever met someone that loved books as much as he did. "The originals always hold a certain secret to them. Especially such old ones that have been translated. It's like... how are we to know that the translations are exactly what the writer said. Even if someone knew both languages. You'd need the original to know for sure." [/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Clicky! || Notes: --- || Tagged: Mori

Moriel nodded, pleased that Chase was in favor of the offer. "Yes, of course. I assumed as much. If you would really like to go through with this, let me know what you'll need. It's about time these books saw something other than the inside of my study." With a chuckle, he walked over to survey the stack of Hugo novels. "I have more in storage, but these are my favorites. I'll have to think about that case, though. They're quite valuable and, unfortunately, the library is hardly set up with museum security." He stepped up behind Chase again, placed a hand on the demon's shoulder. The excitement on his face, it was breathtakingly beautiful.
For someone as tortured and broken as Chase, the relief that books brought to him was fascinating. Perhaps it was the idea of an escape, something to get his mind off of things? Or perhaps it was that, in books, the opponents were usually tangible, conquerable foes that were all evil. For Chase, it seemed one of his greatest nemeses was himself. "I agree," he said. "Just between you and me? I still have no idea how to use a computer. They make me very nervous." A hint of a smirk ghosted over his lips.
He read over the passage he had just recited once more. "The originals are important, yes, but I think that the changes are also fascinating. You know, before written language, all history was told through oral tradition. It was well memorized, but changed all the time. It was thought that a story should change to fit the times, that the old versions became obsolete." His wings curled forward again, almost like a hug, wrapping around his arm and Chase's back.

Chase was sure there was a way to protect the books in the library without Mori having to fear them being stolen or damaged, Chase just wasn't quite sure how. He wasn't the only librarian there though. He'd talk to them and see what they thought about the situation and what they could do to protect it. There would be a way. That was something the library would be lucky to have.
He relaxed into Mori's touch, smiling at him and looking fondly at the angel as his wings wrapped around Chase in such an adorable way. Winged hugs were the best in Chase's eyes and that didn't change with this angel. He held his arms losely over Mori's chest and smiled at him. "That's a good thought too. The different interpretations that change through generations. Something to look at. I just like any kind of book. The old ones just make me think I'm actually in the past."
Chase said before kissing Mori's lips gently. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Clicky! || Notes: --- || Tagged: Mori
