Silver was pacing back and forth. He knew something was wrong with him but he didn't know what it was. It was like he had forgotten something. The guy, Alexander Torres seemed wary of him. Silver had just met him and yet hostility was already there. Had Silver met him somewhere before but just forgot? And if he did, where did he meet the guy and what did he do that got him so mad? Well, not mad but wary. Silver was naturally nice to people. Well, nice when he knew that there was something in it for him. But he was still nice. The only time that he was not nice was when he had drinks. Had Silver insulted the guy once before? And if he did, why couldn't he remember it?
He was pacing back and forth in his study. Then he stopped. There was one person who could answer his questions: Rancho. But Silver raised a brow. Rancho had pulled the guy away for a few moments, spoke in whispers but he could sense the tension. And when they got back, it was like the tension had intensified. And this made Silver wonder once more. Was Rancho friends with Alexander Torres? And if so, why did it feel like Silver missed something? Like he had forgotten something really important. He opened the door to his study and called a maid. "Find Rancho and tell him I need to speak with him immediately. And bring me Early Grey Tea." he said as he dismissed the maid who curtsied and left to do Silver's bidding. Rancho had a few things to explain.

Rancho was in his room, fixing his closet. He ought to stop buying clothes. His closet was starting to complain. Not to mention the drawers were starting to get full as well. Then a knock on the door came, a maid came in and told him Silver was looking for him. What shocked him was that Silver was in his study. And from experience, Rancho knew it was a serious matter when Silver would call someone to his study. he shuddered for a moment. What had he done now? He was doing well at work. He hadn't teased Todd in a while. And Rancho knew well that it did not have anything to with his closet, that was for sure. he nodded and said that he was going in a second. He changed into some clothes he had bought not too long ago and left his room.
Rancho was in time to see the maid bring in a tray of tea. Before she could open the door, he stopped her. "Is that Earl Grey Tea?" he asked her. "Yes Master Rancho. It is." she answered and curtsied. Well that wasn't good at all. Whatever Silver wanted was serious enough for him to ask for the tea. It was just tea but usually Silver would ask for coffee. Tea was a sign that whatever the matter as, Rancho had to brace himself for it. He followed the maid in and watched he placed the tray of tea on the coffee table and quickly left. She was lucky that she didn't have to stay. Rancho sat on the sofa, and didn't say anything at first. the silence was deafening. "Okey Silver. what's going on? You're starting to scare a little." he said truthfully. Where was Toddy when he needed a shield?

Silver was lost in his thoughts. He knew he was missing something but what? then the maid came followed by Rancho who took a seat on the sofa. Silver nodded at the maid before she left and closed the door behind her. He poured himself a cup of tea, not making eye contact with Rancho since he arrived. No hi-hello. No nothing. He took a sip of his tea and tried to calm his mind. Then Rancho broke the silence of the room. Silver placed down his tea cup and leaned back on the arm chair he was sitting on. "I'll ask you something and make you I don't catch you lying to me. You know I hate lies and that I'd be really made if you even thought of lying to me." he spoke as he tried to assemble his question in a way that seem straight to the point but not being rude still.
Then after a few moments, silver cleared his throat. "Rancho, when he ran into Alexander Torres, I could sense a trace of wariness and an underlying line of hostility. Tell me, have I ever met him before we ran into him? And if so, have I offended him somehow?" Silver asked, watching Rancho carefully. He hoped that his own best friend won't lie to him. It was already a big thing that some of the maids whisper something when he passes by them. Like he missed something and everyone knew except him. He didn't want that kind of atmosphere in his own home. He was going to get to the bottom of it.

Rancho listened very well as Silver spoke. It was not every day that his friend acted this way. And when the first part was over, Rancho nodded. He nodded and hoped that whatever it was that Silver wanted to know wasn't too heavy or something too serious for Rancho to actually lie about. He sat straight, not even leaning back on his seat. He was dreading that Silver might actually ask about Alexander. Ever since they met that man along with Sam and Nattie, things have not been really the same. And then Silver spoke again and Rancho's tried so hard to not flinch or even change the facial expression.
"Silver... was all he could say first. Then he sighed, "Yes, you have indeed met Alexander Torres once before. yet you were very intoxicated then and actually tried to seduce him. Before anything could have happened, he ran out the pub and since then, we haven't seen him since." Rancho said as he turned to look at Silver. "Fortunately, one of your maids has the ability to manipulate someone's memory. I told her to erase the memory of what had happened that very night. And I was and still am glad I did so. When we met up again, he had told me that his boyfriend, would hunt you down and hurt you if he ever finds out who you are. He already knew what you did and he will hurt you. I was trying to protect you. That by not remember it can be a loop hole." Rancho reasoned calmly. But he knew that it was just the beginning of a long conversation.

Silver listened to what Rancho was saying. But as he did, he wished that Rancho would stop. How was it helping? That Silver didn't remember anything. He could have apologized and such. He could have made amends and say that he was really sorry. He sighed. Rancho had always protected him as Silver protected Todd. But this was a different matter all together. This involved someone else and Silver had actually seduced the man. He was going to find out about Alexander Torres and apologize to him in person. Silver turned to look at his friend, "Rancho... I know you meant well... But how was erasing my memory helpful? If what your saying is true and that the boyfriend of Alexander Torres was out to get me, not remembering what had happened would only make the guy more angry. Doing something to his boyfriend and not remembering is an insult to not only himself but to Alexander as well." Silver told him.
He stood up and walked to the glass window, "I am going to apologize to Alexander Torres and try to make amends of what I did. I shall also have to explain to him why I do not recall meeting him and apologize for what you have done as well." Silver said in a serious voice. This was one of those times that Silver didn't like being man-handled. Though he knew Rancho only thought of his well-being,what he decided to do was rather appalling and it was done without his consent. For crying out loud, it was his memory they were talking about.

Rancho sighed and knew that when Silver spoke and had made a decision, there was no changing it. Though he didn't understand why Silver would go to the trouble of seeking Torres out, Rancho was still going to protect him from Torres' boyfriend. if one strand of hair was harm, Rancho was going to make sure that Torres would feel what it was like to see the one you care for the most near the brink of death. Yes, Rancho promised murder. He turned to look at Silver, "Alright. Do what you like. I still think that what I did was right." he said as he stood up. He didn't want a lecture from Silver right that moment. he still had a closet to organized.
He walked to the door and grabbed hold of the knob, "I'm going back to organize my room. Start dinner without me." he said as he opened the door and left. He took a deep breath when he had closed the door behind him. Rancho didn't know what to feel that very moment but he knew he was a little miffed at Torres. That nurse was nothing but trouble.

Silver sighed as Rancho left. He thought of ways to make his friend see the error of his ways. But then it dawned unto him that as he would never changed his mind when he made a decision, Rancho would never change his decision as well. It was one of the reasons why they were very good friends. They would stand by their decisions whether good or bad and face the result as it came. He took another sip of his tea. Yes, Rancho was as adamant as Silver was in regards to Alexander Torres. he didn't know whether to be amused or not. To have Rancho decide a matter so delicate as it was on his own, Silver must have done more than just seduce the said victim. It was decided right then and there. Silver was going to find out what exactly happened that night he met Alexander Torres for the first time.
