Okay, well, she was glad that he'd found this funny too. Because, if he hadn't, that would have been so very awkward. Even if they were both rather inebriated, it would've been a little bit strange. But no matter. It was something to laugh about, wasn't it? And Bree could always use something to laugh about; for her, genuine laughter was a rarity. It was odd that she'd let go of herself so much tonight, but she thought she had a damn good excuse to just let her hair down.
She smiled when Shane asked her if she was alright, and nodded. "Yeah, yeah," she said, giggling a little. " 'm fine. Uh, you okay?" She'd been the one who'd fallen on top of him, after all. She was pretty light, pretty compact, but that didn't mean that it wouldn't--
Her thoughts were interrupted when Shane pressed his lips against hers. Just softly, gently, carefully. But it was a kiss all the same. She didn't quite know how to react to what he was doing. Did she pull away? Did she keep going? She didn't know what to do. She hadn't done this for 3 years. She didn't remember what the correct thing to do was.
Something about it just didn't feel right. She knew that it was hr past nagging at her again. Her past experiences. Just...everything. She knew what some men were like. And Shane, well, as great as the man was, she thought that he may have been the same. All men had the potential to do what Adam had done to her before. Bree just couldn't trust them.
And yet...there was something in her mind that was telling her to go for it. That was telling her to show Adam what he'd been missing. That was telling her to let go and move on. She knew that she was drunk. This would probably mean nothing in the future. But...and maybe this was the alcohol talking...she was strangely okay with that, at the time. It had been too long. She wanted this, at the time.
So, she closed her wide, surprised eyes, leaned into the kiss a little more, therefore deepening it. There was the clear taste of alcohol running through it; mostly tequila and vodka from Shane's lips, a little wine from hers. It was a strangely pleasant taste, fuelled by passion. She had a feeling that this would be a night she'd regret in the morning. But the morning didn't matter. It was all about the then; the now.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Warning bells were going off in Shane's mind. It ordered him to pull away, stand up and apologize for what he did. And Shane was about to do so. Well, he was about to but Bree had leaned in closer. Well, so much for that thought. But Shane didn't want... Want did he want? He didn't know what he wanted right then. But when he saw that Bree had closed her eyes, he took a deep breath and kissed her deeper. He just hoped that... He hoped? Since when did Shane began to hope? Well, tonight was tonight. And tomorrow was tomorrow. Tomorrow can worry about itself. Right now, things were crazy and Shane wanted to just forget about it. He held her closer, a little bit tighter.
He knew he had to stop. What he was doing. He didn't want Bree to be all pissed at him. But she did lean in. And the night was young. He slowly sat up, still holding her, then he slowly pulled away from her mouth. Shane began to kiss her jaw line, making his way down to her neck. There, Shane began to light nip at it. It was pinkish and she smelt like flowers, roses and lilies and other flowers that Shane knew not their names. He held her closer, nipped a little bit harder. His hand didn't move from where they were, holding her close to him. Shane didn't know what her reaction would be. But he was already expecting her hand to fly to his face.

Bree would never have imagined herself doing this. Being with another man, and oh so shamelessly doing what she was doing. But it felt strangely good to be doing this. Even if she was intoxicated, it felt like...closure. Like she had the last laugh against Adam. Adam had hurt her; now she was finally coming through.
Or was she? Because the deeper the kiss got, the more she was being nagged at to move away, to stop, to act like this had never happened. It was a little late for that, though. She'd started this; she was going to keep going. She couldn't just suddenly chicken out if she'd been the one that started this. She just couldn't - it would be far too awkward. And awkwardness wasn't something Bree was used to.
She let Shane lift her up so that they were both sitting upright, the kiss getting much deeper and more passionate. This felt so strangely wrong. And yet, so awfully right at the same time. She didn't know what she was doing. She'd completely lost all grip on her common sense. So she just let Shane do what he was doing, just going with the flow. He seemed to know what he was doing; she was sure he'd be okay guiding her through.
Her breathing hitched as he moved from her lips and traced her jawline, slowly moving down to her neck. She wasn't expecting the nipping, though. If she wasn't so unaware, she would have slapped Shane for that. But now, in her current state, she found it felt...really good. Amazing, actually. A moan escaped her lips before she could stop it. "Sh-Shane..." she murmured, but that was all she could manage.
She was finding words difficult right now; so she decided to take this a little further as her reaction. Her hands went to the white jacket he was wearing, and she slowly began to peel it off his skin. She knew that she shouldn't; that she should just stop right there before things got too out of hand, but she just couldn't do it. She didn't want to stop yet. Shane was pressing all the right buttons. She couldn't, she simply couldn't, bring herself to stop just yet.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Whatever self-control he had left went out the window the same moment Bree's moan left her lips. Shane brought his lips back to hers. This was all new to Shane again. But when Bree tried to take his jacket off, Shane lost himself. The jacket slid off his shoulders and off his arms. Then Shane's hands traveled by themselves inside Bree's shirt. She was warm. No, her body was hot. Intensely hot and Shane wanted to feel more of its heat. He quickly took off his own shirt and proceeded to try and take off Bree's. Slowly and carefully, Shane's hands roamed Bree's back and stomach. Then Shane took off her shirt. She looked more beautiful than she already was. He kissed her again before he kissed and nipped her neck and make his way down to her flat stomach.
"B-Bree... Tell me... If you don't want this... You have to tell me now... Because I won't be able to stop if you want this..." Shane asked her as he pulled away and looked directly at her eyes. Though he was intoxicated by both Bree and the drinks he had, he was going to pull away if she decided that she didn't want to go through with it. It was going to be hard for Shane but he would find the will to stop.

Things were getting pretty good now. Bree had completely lost her senses, and the voice that was screaming at her to stop had now officially been silenced. She just didn't care anymore. The alcohol had completely taken over, and now she was doing what the alcohol told her to do it it's hushed, whisper-y tones. She wasn't listening to herself. That part of her was unconscious now. The other part knew exactly what it wanted, and was determined to get it.
His lips met hers once again, and she focused completely on this. It was getting deeper, more meaningful. Or should she say meaningless? They were both pretty hammered; she doubted she would remember this in the morning. Or, at least, there was the silent, unconscious part of her that didn't want to remember. She heard Shane's jacket hit the floor after she'd rolled it off of his arms, and her own arms went straight around him. He was doing all the right things, so Bree didn't care about the consequences of this.
She felt him momentarily break away, and heard another item of clothing (presumably his shirt) hit the floor. She felt his lips again, and his hands crawled inside her shirt. This sent sparks running through her body, making her shiver. Her hands spread like small starfish on the broad slab of Shane's chest, her fingers slowly and gently curling into loose fists.
She let him slide off her shirt, even helping him do it. He kissed her again, which she welcomed and savored, the tastes of several different types of alcohol warmly greeting her tongue. He went down again, biting gently at her neck, working his way down, getting closer to her stomach...then he pulled away.
Her breathing was irregular, her heart thrumming in her chest at an extraordinary pace. She looked up to find Shane's silvery grey eyes staring into her own ocean blue ones. In those eyes, she found pure, raging desire. A desire that she shared with him. She wanted this as much as she could tell he did. She slid her arms onto his shoulders, her hands meeting at the nape of his neck.
"K-Keep going, Shane, " she murmured. "B-Before I change my mind. It's been far t-too long." And that was all she said before she pulled him forward to meet her lips once again. She put alot into it this time. Just the burning passion and desire leaking through into the kiss was enough to show that she wanted what he wanted. And that was to just get away from it all. Even if it was what the alcohol wanted; she didn't care. It was just one night. Even if she'd wake to regret it; it wasn't about the consequences. It was about the here and now.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ And there goes the 'I'll pull away if you don't want this' plan. Shane kissed her again, deeply, more passion than he ever thought he'd be able to show anyone, let alone Bree. Never had it cross his mind that he'd be doing this to her... With her. Everything about Bree looked beautiful and sinful that very moment. He held her close, suck on her neck, kissed it, nipped it. Then he slowly, carried and laid her down on the sofa, going down on her. Shane's hands roamed her entire body. Then he went up and kissed her again. But this time, one of his hands was trying to unzip her pants. Like he had said earlier, he wouldn't be able to stop once he started 'down there'. His hands slipped in and made contact with whatever was down there.
Shane had managed to disrobe Bree of every piece of clothing she had on her. He looked down at her, smiling. "You look so beautiful and deliciously sinful right now, Bree Ripsen..." he said as he kissed her before Shane had his way with her: Caressing her, kissing her, making her feel good. Even if it had been too long, Shane was a 'man' and still knew what to do. With every thrust he did, her body seemed to take him well enough. That was a first. And Bree was the first Fallen Shane was actually having sex with. A lot of this was running through his mind. But he was swatting them all away. He knew both of them needed a break from all the craziness that they were going through. Though this wasn't what he had in mind, this was just as good as. Even better really. He held on to Bree's waist as he went deep into her, making her feel that they were one that very moment.

Now, the voice in Bree's head was coming back. It wasn't screaming at her, like it had been before. But it was coming back, muffled this time, so Bree briefly registered she was coming back to sobriety. She didn't dwell on this too long, though, because she was still too out of it to really do anything about that. Ah well. She'd just have to keep going then, wouldn't she?
It wasn't as if she could back out now, anyways. Shane had already heard what she'd said, and she was relishing the kiss that they were currently sharing. It felt so strangely good to give up her mind for that night. Just for that night. She knew, deep deep down, that she would live to regret this, but she was trying to ignore that. And so far, she was succeeding. That was good.
He'd managed to keep going, kissing and biting and gently caressing, making Bree feel....awesome, put simply. She was being treated amazingly here, like she was a fragile china doll. And, without the alcohol, she supposed she was fragile. But she'd been strengthened by her chosen poison, and so was ready for whatever Shane was going to throw at her. Ready for whatever anything was going to throw at her. She could cope.
She didn't say anything, merely snickered when Shane commented on her sinful beauty. If she hadn't been drunk, she would have been absolutely mortified. Not only had he called her beautiful; he'd called her sinful. Those were two things that Bree certainly was not. Well, she wasn't like that sober, anyway. She just completely let go, let Shane do what he had to. It really had been far too long for her. She encouraged him, kissing him passionately, nibbling his ear. She knew what she wanted. And she knew that she was going to get it.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ It seemed like forever but Shane laid back on the rugged floor, he covered Bree with a curtain. She looked beautiful still and yet so sinfully delicious. Yet he knew this was a one time thing. He was never going to have sex with Bree again. It just wasn't right. Yet earlier everything felt right between then. Shane grabbed his pants and carried Bree to his bedroom. And he sat on the chair beside his bed. He watched her sleep. She looked so well rested and at peace. He just wondered how long it was going to last. He watched her for three hours or so. Then he looked out the window, the sun was beginning to rise. He looked back at Bree and stood up. He kissed her head and went down to the kitchen to prepare her breakfast in bed.
It was nearly seven in the morning when Shane made his way back up to his room. He saw that she was still asleep. But he knew he had to wake her up or else she would open her shop late. If that happened, people would wonder. And if Shane went to work late, the other officers would start rumors again. And if that happens, their agony will stretch a little bit longer. "Bree? Bree... Wake up... Time for breakfast." he said as he opened the curtains to show a bright morning. Her clothes were beside her and he hope that she wasn't going to freak out.

So Bree had pretty much passed out right after it was all over. Yeah, the alcohol had really taken over on that count. She hadn't even stirred when Shane carried her up to his room and laid her on the bed to sleep a little more. The more time passed, however, the more she was beginning to register a pain in her head. A pretty bad one, too. Ugh, was she really hungover? She hoped not. She hadn't been hungover in a while, and had pretty much forgotten what it was like.
She groaned quietly as she heard Shane's voice cut through the fog in her mind. It sounded a lot louder than it actually was, thanks to the hangover. When he opened the curtains, she burrowed into the...curtain...over her a little more. Why was it a curtain? Wasn't she in her room, where her blankets and everything were? And why had Shane come in so suddenly? Normally he knocked before he came into her room. And then it struck her that maybe, just maybe, she wasn't in her room at all.
What? Why wouldn't she be in her room? That was ridiculous, unless all the alcohol from last night had made her pass out on the sofa or something. Yeah, that had to be it. She'd probably fallen asleep, then Shane had carried her up to...his room. Okay, well his room was a bit of a weird place to put her, but that seemed plausible. That had to be what had happened.
That was, until she registered that she didn't have her clothes on. And then...it hit. What the hell she'd done last night. It hit her hard. She'd...oh god...oh god oh god oh god. No. That hadn't...she hadn't done that...she couldn't of. Oh, damnit, that was...oh shit. No, just no! She couldn't of! That wasn't her at all. She wasn't like that. She wasn't just some easy lay. She couldn't of. She refused to believe it.
But it explained the curtain over her body instead of a duvet. It explained why it was Shane's room and not her own. It explained why Shane hadn't knocked when he came in to wake her up. It explained why, at some point during the night in her lazy dreams, she'd felt something gently press to her forehead. It'd been a kiss. They had. She had. She'd done...that.
Oh, lord, that was just...she felt sick. She felt sick at the thought of what she'd done. The room was beginning to spin and swoop in alarming ways. Her head was pounding, and her breathing momentarily quickening. But...Shane was here. She couldn't show that she regretted anything, she just couldn't. She sat up a little bit, holding the curtain over her body for modesty's sake, and smiled lazily and sheepishly at him.
"H-Hi..." she murmured. She spotted the tray of breakfast in his hands, and realised that he'd brought her breakfast in bed. Now that, she had to admit, was really sweet of him. But it certainly didn't make her feel any better. Especially not when she caught sight of her clothes lying next to the bed. She swallowed, and smiled again. "Y-You okay?"

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Shane turned around to give her time to change. "Believe it or not, I am having a headache. I must have really too much last night." he said as he disappeared into his walk-in closet. He needed to change into his uniform. He already had breakfast. And everything was already awkward. He sighed. He knew this was coming. But why was it heavier? He didn't expect that it would be this hard to deal with: the morning after drunken sex. He had already taken a shower and now he just had to change into his uniform. He gave Bree a ten minute time to change and then he came out, with his jacket on his arm. He turned to look at her, not knowing what kind of face he ought to show her. He had never gone through this kind of situation. Talk about first time. Shane sighed again.
"There are aspirins next to the plate. Take them after you have eaten breakfast. I'm sure your going to feel the headache in a few minutes." he was trying to hide his concern by looking away and heading to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He didn't know if Bree could see him and he didn't care. He punched the marble sink which dented a little. Great! Now he had to get that fixed! His day was already getting on the wrong foot. He shook his head and brushed his teeth. He was trying his best to not make the situation anymore awkward than it already was.

Bree was grateful for a few moments when Shane disappeared into what she presumed was a walk-in wardrobe. That erased some of the awkwardness. Some of it. It was still so very amazingly awkward, but this helped a tiny bit. At least she could get dressed in a bit of peace. She was kind of afraid that she might just have to spend the day in bed, cursing her stupidity and sinful behavior. But, now that she came to think of it, that seemed irrational. She knew that she'd be cursing her stupidity and sinful behavior at work. Not here.
She got up, and slid on her clothes. Nothing too special, just a black skirt and a blue vest top thingy. She wore it like it was a dress, with the skirt hitched up a little bit so that it was just above her waist. It was a long skirt, so the hem still reached down to her knees. She was done in about two minutes, so she spent the rest of the time brushing her hair and putting on makeup and stuff. She was just finishing up on her eyes when Shane reemerged, fully clothed except for the jacket draped over his arm.
She nodded meekly and gratefully when Shane told her about the aspirin next to the plate, looking at the floor. Would start to feel the headache, huh? She was pretty sure she was already feeling it. Oh, god, did that mean it would get worse? Hold on a minute. No. How could it get any worse? How could she possibly feel any worse? She didn't know. It was just...terrible, what she felt then. The mixture of the guilt and the slight hangover was not pleasant. It was like...all the bad things she'd done, all the bad things that had happened to her wrapped into one emotion. An emotion that she couldn't quite place, but made her feel the worst she ever had felt.
She took the two aspirin, and ate what little she could. She was a little too depressed to eat right now, but she needed something in her before she went to work. It wasn't pleasant, despite how good it tasted. Food was the last thing on Bree's mind right now. All she could think about was how incredibly stupid she'd been. She felt...wrong. Sick. Disgusting.
She heard some kind of thunk come from the bathroom, and wondered if she should check if Shane was okay. But...it was kind of past that now. She couldn't make eye contact with him, let alone speak to him. The best he'd probably get out of her today was a goodbye. For when she went to work. Or...or maybe it should be a goodbye for something else. Leaving.
She'd wanted to do that ever since she arrived. To go home. To go back to her quiet life in her apartment. And things had died down a little now, from her perspective. Besides, let's face it, thing would have been too awkward if she had stayed. There was no way she could live with someone who she'd done whilst drunk; no way. It would just be too awkward.
However, she shook the thoughts out of her mind for that moment. Maybe later she'd think about it again. Right then, she had to get to work. She went downstairs, put on some shoes, grabbed her keys. And then, with a quiet "Bye.", she left the house. She'd escaped that reality. For then. But she knew that she wouldn't forget that in a hurry.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Shane heard her leave. And he felt that it was going to be the last night she was going to be staying at his house. He couldn't blame her. What they did... Ugh! Shane didn't even want to think about it. What he did to her was inexcusable. Being drunk was not a good enough reason for Shane to have lost control. He was known for the best control in any situation. And if the event last night got out, it was going to cause more harm to Bree and himself.Well to Bree more really. He knew that this was one incident that he was never going to let out. And he knew Bree would never tell anyone as well. Shane left the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. Yup, this was one hell of a mess that could be perfectly hidden if both parties kept quiet. Shane shook himself back to his usual self, the real Shane Archer Mills, second in command of Carford Military Force. He wore his jacket, fixed himself and nodded in approval. He grabbed the tray of food that he had brought for Bree. she barely ate. But that was not Shane's concern anymore. How much she ate was not his concern simply because she chose not to eat or even finish her meal. He placed the tray on the sink, cleaned the kitchen and left his house. Yes, starting today, Shane was now Shane Archer Mills, Demon of Wrath. Cunning, smart, and cruel.
