Description;; Scars can be found all over Tobias’ body, and most of them can be attributed to the number of years that he spent abused by his guardians. After his escape, the years which he spent at war did contribute to that, too. Due to his being a mercenary, he’s been tortured enough for his entire body to be littered with scars. Other than that, he doesn’t have too many distinguishing features, and surprisingly enough he manages to cover most of his scars up with his attire. Tobias also has gray eyes and hair of a dubious shade, which could be either dark blonde or light brown.
Like any good soldier, Tobias keeps an uncanny amount of weapons on his body. Other than his guns and knives, he also keeps spare bullets, and some say a grenade, but that in itself is rather unlikely. They’re all hidden on various parts of his body, so no one really knows for sure exactly how many weapons Tobias carries on his person. Honestly, most people don’t actually want to know.
Anything that Tobias wears provides the maximum amount of protection but also enough ease of motion for him to be able to duck a stray (or accurate) bullet.

Personality;; Something about Tobias Redferne is that he doesn’t care. He never cares, until, of course, he does—but that’s only in very rare situations, because it’s a bloody Herculean feat to worm oneself into Tobias’s good graces. Sure, you can earn his (professional) respect just by being a good solider and doing your job, but Tobias has a remarkably small number of friends: one. His sister, Aria.
Around other people, he’s the epitome of professionalism—that is, until you piss him off. Then he’s probably going to burn you to a crisp, and he actually has a method as to how people should be burned for maximum pain, so it’s probably good if you don’t try and annoy him. And despite his short temper, very few people actually do get burned, mostly because they’re all scared of him. After all, he’s Tobias Redferne of the Redferne siblings. That should be enough to make anyone pee their pants.
However, around people he’s familiar with, his mental maturity seems to commit suicide and he’s instantly reduced to a yelling, sulky teenager who just wants to get his own way. He absolutely hates being teased and will just burn things for fun if he’s in enough of a PMS mood. He’s also prone to doing the stupidest things when he’s in that mood, like that one time when he tried to set his hair on fire just to see if it’d makehim look like Hades from Heracles. Aria likes to remind him of that. When she does, he sets her hair on fire in revenge.
There’s also something that his sister likes to refer to as dick!Tobias mode, wherein Tobias’s mental filter

History;; The first thing that needs to be said about Tobias and Aria’s childhood is that the two of them had a pair of extremely abusive guardians. Since their mother died when giving birth to Aria, their (Wrath demon) father and (Lust demon) uncle spent almost all of their time torturing the two of them and basically making their lives a living hell.
Since the two of them were rarely kept separate for these torture sessions, Tobias always tried his best to protect Aria from their guardians. Aria usually reacted to this by calling him a crazy arsehole/disgusting chauvinistic male and not allowing him to take extra torture for her, but it wasn’t like it stopped him anyway. And so while the two of them were tortured by their guardians, they also offered mutual support to each other and prevented either of them from going insane (although, admittedly, Aria didn’t do to well in keeping Tobias’s sanity intact).
Their father, the wrath demon, usually went about his allocated torture time with the two by taking revenge for everything that had ever went wrong in his life on his two children. And due to the fact that the only reason why their father had become a demon was because of their mother’s passing, his twisted actions, although extreme, were much less so than that of his brother. Normally their father would just take up any instrument of torture that interested him—sometimes it was the whip, sometimes it was a knife and there were those fateful few times when he was in the mood for using a chainsaw—and just basically give them hell. After those sessions, the two usually emerged more battered and bruised than anything.
But their uncle, on the other hand, had been a lust demon for a much longer time, and no one even remembered why he turned in the first place. The only thing that everyone knew, of course, was that he was a disgusting, sick arsehole, and therefore was treated to numerous sexual harassment suits and even more slaps from pretty female bar-goers in his daily life. And such a life, of course, was rather stressful for him; as not too good-looking a man, he could hardly satisfy his sexual desire since no one wanted to have sex with him. With his twisted mindset and his almost ridiculous need for sexual release, he turned to his niece and nephew. And while the means of torture that he subjected them to shall not be explicitly stated, one probably has a pretty good idea of what he did. This, of course, scarred the two of them more than anything, and while they have sworn never to speak of it, this is also the reason why Aria prefers the female form more than anything and Tobias isn’t sexually attracted to either gender at all.
After a couple of years of this disgusting treatment by their guardians, Aria and Tobias both staged a breakout so that they might be able to make something out of their lives. They joined the army as mercenaries, only staying for as long as the money kept coming, and soon they earned a reputation of being some of the best soldiers that the world has ever seen. Both of them have their own rather specific skill set and use their skills to their advantage, although they, too, have the physical ability to overcome almost anyone in a fight. And although all of that was very useful, they got rather bored of the armies that they had been serving in and when they got an invitation to join the army in ___ (read: whatever town they are put into), they leapt at the chance.
Town Request;; Alderres, please. Legolas and I already have a plot planned over there.
Role-Play Sample;; As usual, Papercuts was relatively quiet and that was exactly the way that Jean liked it-- quiet. Working in a bookstore did provide that advantage, because very few people who frequented bookstores were excessively rowdy or annoying. And everyone who came to Papercuts knew that they'd get kicked out if they were too annoying, so.
Humming to herself, she did her mandatory daily dusting of the neatly-arranged books. Most of these books were rather old, mostly because the owner of the bookstore was some insanely old geezer who'd been here since at least the 17th century-or-so. And, hey, they had a first-edition Moby Dick-- she'd steal that, but it would be so obvious that she was the one who stole it, so she wasn't going to take the risk. Jean had a brain, okay.
The classics shelf, although by far the hardest to clean, was the best part of the entire shop. The books there had character, she felt, and they were also the most valuable of all. And even though she couldn't steal the books, she was allowed to read them (as long as she didn't wreck them, which she wasn't gonna) when there were no customers in the shop. Or, well, even if there were customers in the shop, it wasn't like anyone was going to stop her. The owner of the bookstore had stopped caring about the shop long ago, and had more than likely forgot about it.
And it wasn't like Papercuts was ever busy, anyway.
