Well. That was an experience.
Moriel's breath puffed out slightly faster than usual, but from the sheer exertion it had taken to get the whole thing over with than anything like passion or excitement. That had been without a doubt one of the worst sexual experiences of his life. And he'd been around for quite some time.
It wasn't that it had been bad in a technical sense. They both knew what they were doing, both made an effort, but the whole time he'd been uncomfortable and awkward. There had been no spark and, at one point, Chase had looked up at him, obviously uncomfortable and a little bored, and Moriel felt downright creepy. It was amazing they'd both managed to finish.
Lying next to Chase (Mori had pulled his wings in so he could lie on his back), he sighed and glanced over at him. "How are- I mean." He closed his mouth, at a loss for words for once. What did one do in this situation? He didn't want to outright say that it had sucked, in case it might hurt Chase's feelings. Though he was more than certain that the demon had been every bit as unimpressed by it as he had been.
He tried for something vague. "Ah, that was..." No, there were no words in the English language that could adequately describe this experience without coming out harsh.

That was horrid. Chase wished he hadn't said yes and he had gone home instead. It was awkward and horrible and he wanted to turn back time. He had been so happy with Mori! Yet that was so fucking dreadful he didn't think he could handle another shot at doing that. Chase and Mori couldn't actually have a relationship if they couldn't do anything sexual without it being one hundred percent awkward.
He looked at Mori when he saw his head turn to look at him. He was no doubt awkward as well. Chase took a deep sigh. "I'm sorry... that was just... awkward."
[/b] Chase said without trying to hurt his feelings but not caring right now. It was just horrible and someone needed to say it. They were both probably thinking it. Chase was just the one that was going to voice it. He wasn't shy around people he knew wouldn't hurt him. He took another sigh. He couldn't believe his luck. Just when he found someone he thought would be good for him, their Father had to shove him under another bus. This was one of the reasons Chase had turned into a demon. He didn't believe there was reason for what he had gone through and it just seemed to be getting worse. Chase's words were a relief, and Moriel couldn't resist a puffing laugh of agreement. It opened up into a real laugh, chest-shaking and loud. Once it started, he found he couldn't keep the laughter back. It had just been too awful, too unbelievably terrible. He laughed until there were tears in the corners of his eyes. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he insisted, trying to collect himself. He draped a tanned, bare arm over his eyes and lie there like that for a moment.
Finally, he lowered his arm back down and turned on his side to face Chase. He was glad they could just come out and admit what a miserable failure this had been. "I hope you don't mind if we never do that again," he said with a lopsided smile. His eyes ventured down to the mess they'd left on the demon's abdomen. Moriel sat up. "I'll get you a washcloth," he announced, standing and walking to his bathroom with no attempt at modesty. What would be the point now?
When he returned, Mori passed Chase the washcloth and sat down on the bed, tugging the sheets up to cover himself. "Don't get me wrong, Chase. I feel...affection toward you. I think perhaps we just misread it." Leaning against the headboard, he stared out of the large window on the opposite side of the room - outside, the sea, illuminated by the lighthouse beam.

Most people would hate if someone they just had sex with couldn't stop laughing afterwards. Chase didn't though. He knew it was bad for one... and he never expected anything good to come out of anything. He was used to and expected disappointments. So Chase just laughed with him and nodded when he mentioned a washcloth. Yeah... that would probably be a good thing right now.
He took the cloth and started to clean himself up a bit while listening to what Mori was saying. "Yeah... I agree with you completely. We just... jumped conclusions. I think maybe we should just consider ourselves friends."
[/b] Chase told him with a smile. He would be happy with that. He wasn't a picky man. Chase needed friends more than anything, maybe that was why he could never find someone to consider a friend. He was always searching for more. Like with Brent... He pushed things the first night and Brent didn't want him the way he wanted Brent. Chase accepted that... didn't mean it didn't make things awkward or anything. "I think we best just stay close friends and give up on a romance thing."[/b] Chase said as he sat up on the headboard along with him.
