Bree had absolutely nothing to do that day. She'd ended up just closing the store early, and heading to the park with her guitar case slung over her shoulder. She was hoping to find somewhere quiet and deserted to play, but it wasn't seeming likely right then. Lakeside Park was always relatively busy at that time of day. Late afternoon, when children were getting out of school and people were coming home from work. Normally, Bree wouldn't be around here at this time, but hey. Didn't matter, did it?
She'd gotten a phone call from someone interested in taking the clerk job at her shop. That was partially a relief. There would be much less work if she had someone to help her. As the humans always said, 'May hands make light work'. However, part of her was slightly...iffy. She hadn't met this girl yet. She'd been nice enough over the phone, said her name was Taylor. But that made her feel a bit depressed, with what had happened in heaven. She still missed her friend.
...And besides, then where would Bree be able to play her music? Her back room that she called her "office" (well, it was technically her office) was the only place besides her house that she actually felt comfortable playing in. Someone else would be there? Hah. Nope. But she was meeting the girl later, hopefully. So...she'd decide then.
Seeing as finding a place was becoming less and less likely, Bree decided to just give up. She sat down on a bench, in front of a clump of bushes, pulling her case off of her back and laying it across her lap. If she couldn't play here, she could at least write, surely. She opened the small pouch on the inner lining of her case, and pulled out her notebook and pencil, where she wrote all her songs, and got to work. Suddenly, the park blurred into the background. It was now just Bree, her guitar and her notebook.

Taylor was getting fed up of this, every tree and bush she past looked exactly the same. She slowly began to calm herself down, she wasn't sure where she was, however she noticed that she was completely covered in leafs and mud. How in the world will she get this off? Though Taylor couldn't really worry about that now, she had to find a way out of the damn wood.
Taylor began walking for another few minutes which seemed like hours, when she noticed someone singing. Recognizing the voice yet couldn't put a voice to it, she followed the singing. 'Not bad singing'. She thought actually she thought it was brilliant singing, however no matter how much she tried a face couldn't be placed to the singing.
Finally she came to a bush, carefully looking between the twigs and bramble she saw a figure sitting on a bench with a case across her lap, with a note book and pencil. Taylor's mouth dropped, she couldn't believe it, there she was sitting on a bench like nothing was happening was Bree. Finally after 2 years of searching Taylor knew her work had been worth it. Suddenly without even thinking the consequences Taylor leaped out of her hiding spot and startled a very surprised Bree with the words. "BREE, WHERE IN THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN?"

Now, naturally, Bree wasn't expecting a girl to jump from the bush behind the bench and start yelling. She almost jumped right out of her skin, and gave a startled little squeak, shooting backwards. What. The. Fuck. Who...who did that? Surely you'd give someone some kind of warning before you were about to jump out of a random set of bushes and start screaming in their face. ...Okay, maybe not. But still, it wasn't--
Her thoughts stopped after processing what the girl had said. That...that voice. She'd heard that voice so many times before. That voice was so very familiar. And, after narrowing her eyes slightly in warning to the girl, she'd realised that she looked so very much like...oh god. Wow. That was...wow. What? What was Taylor of all people doing on Earth?! That...surely...there had to be some kind of mistake. That wasn't her Taylor, maybe she had her confused with someone else? But...she'd known her name, and looked an awful lot like her Taylor.
It wasn't until she actually realised that this was Taylor, and that this was her Taylor that she finally thought about how much she really had missed her friend. And...yeah, it had been a lot. More than words could really express. It was like...having her back from the dead. Hah. Dead. Technically, it had been Bree who'd "died", but nyeh, that hardly mattered right now.
"T-Taylor?" she stuttered, using a breath she'd actually drawn to yell right back. Yeah, she wasn't normally so brash, but she'd been so surprised. She could have yelled back if she wanted to; she had a reason. After squinting at the girl again (who Bree discovered, on second glance, was absolutely covered in mud and leaves), a wide smile spread across her face.
"Taylor!" she squealed in delight, and practically jumped right on top of the poor girl, giving her a huge hug. But she quickly pulled away, holding a very muddy Taylor at arm's length. "You're...here? But...what...you said...huh?" she said, slightly breathless. She laughed lightly as she pulled a twig from her friend's hair. But...oh wow...Bree was at a loss for words. She was pretty sure that Taylor had said that she would never fall, if she had the option. Heaven was their home. And it was good enough for them. But...well...here she was. Not that Bree was complaining. Oh no, she was as happy as Larry that her friend was back.

Taylor was simply over the moon. Completely breathless from the tight hug Bree gave her, she was almost crying, actually she was crying. Crying her eyes out, she had finally found Bree, her Bree and no-one was going to take her away ever again.
Bree still looked really confused on why I came to find her, Taylor sighed, this could take a lot of explaining.
"The reason why I came to find you was that I couldn't live in Heaven without worrying about my best friend?" Taylor replied, grinning like a Cheshire cat
Taylor had a lot of explaining to do, first about falling and ending up with a heap of Demons for about 2 years. And finally about a month or 2 later finally ending up here. She wasn't sure how she was going to fit that all in one day, but she was sure Bree would listen.
Taylor knew she was still crying, and surprisingly Bree looked like she was crying too. Taylor smiled she knew Bree and her would have a lot to catching up to do, even Bree had to explain what she has been up to during the 3 years away from each other. However why rush? Taylor knew she would have the whole of eternity to catch up with Bree, her Bree and no-one now could stop them.

Bree was still trying to process what was going on, wiping away the tears that were flowing down her face. Her friend, her friend who she hadn't seen for the best part of three and a half years, was stood right before her (albeit rather dirty). She could see her friend's tears revealing streaks of peachy skin under the dirt on her face, and realised that she'd been...looking for her. Before she even said anything, Bree knew what she'd done; why she'd fallen.
And Taylor's words just confirmed what Bree had thought. "Taaaaaaylor!" Bree said, with a slight whine to her voice. "You're stupid. Why leave somewhere like heaven for someone like me, you fool?" She snickered softly, and shook her head fondly at her friend. That was Taylor; didn't think things through. Well, okay, she did, but very, very rarely. Sometimes, Bree thought that Taylor didn't think at all, that there was just an empty space where her brain should be. But that was one of the many things she loved about Taylor.
"So, what's up? How is everyone? Well, how were they after I left? Did anything happen? Bad? Good? Tell me everything." Bree took her fellow Fallen by the hands, and sat her down on the bench. "I really want to know. Oh, and I have some stuff to tell you too! But...you first. Tell me all the things! I really want to know."

There was so much to tell Bree, she wasn't sure she would be able to explain it all or not. Taylor knew so much had happened when Bree left, how no-one respected her and that everyone should just move on. How could Taylor move on? Bree was her best friend, there was no way in hell Taylor would forget Bree and sadly everyone else knew that. With limited resources Taylor could only watch Bree on certain days, then when she found out she couldn't see her at all Taylor began to panic. Taylor explained how everyone else had moved on and that some of the groups had split and gone their own ways with or without their newly loved ones. This kind of made Taylor sick and empty since know one would love her, and the emptiness of Bree wasn't helping either.
"Bree, the reason I fell is that you made me worry about your safety and the other thing is that heaven was so boring, all they do is do their jobs then sleep, ahhh talk about lazy." Taylor replied hinting the sarcasm in her voice.
Bree laughed, Taylor missed that laugh, she missed Bree herself and now finally she had found her.
"Anyway enough about me and my boring life, what have you been up to? Meet anyone nice, I bet you have. You have better saved some for me."

It was weird hearing about how Taylor had been for those three years. This reunion was nothing like the one with Brent, which had been so awkward Bree had actually wished that she hadn't gone into Neon Tiger at all, that she'd just passed by, with wistful memories and a sad smile on her face. But, as time went on, she and Brent had remembered why they had been so close. But this? This was...amazing! It was just so easy, so familiar. It kind of made her wish that every conversation could go so smoothly, so easily.
Bree laughed at her description of Heaven. That wasn't quite how Bree remembered Heaven; she remembered it as a beautiful place that she never quite made her home. She had been far too shy to make it an actual home, she couldn't associate with the other inhabitants until...Adam. Nope. Wasn't going there. She was not going to depress herself thinking about him now. This was Taylor in front of her, not him. He could just...she didn't know. But whatever it was that she'd been thinking of, it wasn't pleasant. Definitely not pleasant.
...How had Bree's life been? Well. She'd made several new friends, one of which had been murdered. She'd opened up the florist's, she'd...she'd even found...something. She wasn't sure what she and Samson were at the moment. Were they friends? In a relationship ? No, being in a relationship was too permanent for the both of them.. They were...friends-with-benefits? Is that what they were called? She thought so. So, yeah, she'd had rather a lot happen to her in the 3 years since she left Heaven. Quite. A. Lot.
"Well, where to start..." she said, with a slight snicker. She then drew a deep breath in. "I made several friends, heard about one of those friends being murdered, finding the other one alive, opened up a florist, and, yes, I have met someone 'nice'. Not sharing, though, so...yeah. Sorry. Get your own." She poked her tongue out at Taylor with a chuckle. "Naw, he is actually nice. Dunno if he means anything or not, but...nyeh, it's complicated." She gave a vague wave of her hand. And it really was complicated. But...it would get easier, hopefully.

Taylor knew she hadn't described heaven as Bree would describe it, however this was Bree and she tried to make everything seem like it wasn't so bad. It was good she had made some friends, however having that horrified expression when she heard one was murdered. Though hearing about there could be a relationship developing, Taylor knew she had to 'play matchmaker. Since it was in Taylor's nature to make people happy, Taylor couldn't let this chance slip away.
"Ok, really you could of saved me a least one, but anyway we have got to get you with him. And what do you mean you don't know if he means anything? We have got to find out."
This time it was Taylor's turn to stick her tongue out, she had to know what this guy was like and also she had to find out Bree's true feelings for this guy.
If he was just some 'boy' as Taylor liked to call guys who just seem to pass over her head, then he wasn't worth the effort. However the way Bree waved her hand to dismiss the topic, Taylor thought that there was defiantly something going on. It looked like love was in the air, and Taylor couldn't wait to help out.

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Hold the phone. Bree hadn't said anything about getting with Samson. Hah. No. It was clear to the both of them that it would just be temporary, and didn't really mean anything at all. At least it was some form of monogamy, instead of...well, yeah. The alternative. The alternative wasn't really a pleasant idea to Bree, and so...yeah. The arrangement she had with Samson was great. No emotional strings attached.
"Uh, no." she said plainly, shaking her head at her friend. Yes, she was beginning to remember how much Taylor liked matchmaking. Not that she was any good at it. The last time that she'd tried...or at least the last time Bree recalled...it hadn't turned out well. But Bree was far too nice to point this out. "Who said I had any emotional connection with this guy? Just said he was nice."
When Taylor asked what Bree meant by not knowing if he meant anything, Bree sighed, placing a hand on her forehead. "It's really...complicated." Bree said honestly. "I don't really want to go into too much detail because...well, we'd be here all night. And...night...Idon'tlikethedark?" She mumbled that last part. It wasn't really a fear of the dark...she just didn't like it. Maybe it was a fear. She wasn't sure. But onwards and forwards.
She chuckled at Taylor's next words. They had to find out? Really? That sounded like an awful lot of effort. Bree wasn't really one for effort. As Taylor probably knew well. Why did she have to find out anything? She knew where she stood, when it came to Samson. It wasn't hard to figure out at all. Just two friends looking for...comfort. Bree mentally snickered at that term. Ah, yeah, it truly was...comforting. What? It was!
"There's nothing to find out, Taybeans," Bree said, leaning her back against the back of the bench and looking out toward the lake. "We both know where we stand, and we both know that it won't...turn into anything. Alright? So...yeah, no matchmaking required."

Taylor sighed in defeat, and looked towards the lake. It was getting quite late, however she didn't mind as long there were street lamps on and she was with Bree. She knew somewhere along the lines of Bree and 'the mystery persons' relationship that she would have to jump in a play a little bit of matchmaker, she knew she wasn't that good at it, especially with the last situation, wow that was so awkward.
However she knew Bree could be hiding something, and to be honest Taylor herself was hiding secrets as well. Taylor knew her first moments on earth was being stared at from above by some stupid idiots, who later on she began to call 'friends'. The Demons which kept her safe for a while, until Taylor got her strength back. However this was something Taylor could never tell Bree, no matter how much she wanted to get it off her chest.
"It's good to know where you two know your place, however....positions change, decisions are made, and thoughts are altered. Some are good and some are bad, lets hope that nothing bad happens between you two." Taylor forced a smile on her face, this was bring back so many bad memories.
Taylor began to feel alone, afraid. Not just because it was really dark now but the fact that anyone of the 'friends' she made could come and find her, one particular Demon in mind. She missed him however what would Bree do if he came back? Taylor rested her head on her knees, she missed him dearly, he was a very kind Demon, however everyone feared him too.
Taylor's emotions were all over the place, what could she do? She found Bree and she was happy with that, however now that her main mission was complete, could she ever go back to the Demons, and find her 'friend'? Taylor knew she was beginning to cry, her 'friend' knew what she was going through but now it seemed that even that little 'friend' was too far away.

Bree noticed Taylor's face fall slightly as she sighed and looked out toward the lake. It looked like she had something major weighing upon her mind; something that she looked like she wanted to tell Bree, but couldn't find the words to express. Bree didn't mind, though. She knew that everyone had secrets; so proven in the florist with Brent a couple weeks ago. Yeah, that had been huge. But...she honestly didn't mind if Taylor didn't want to tell Bree what she was thinking.
Still, Bree furrowed her brow in concern. The smile Taylor gave er just looked so...forced. Yeah, there was definitely something on her mind. Bree supposed she could let it go; Taylor didn't really look as if she wanted to talk about it. But it didn't stop her worrying about her. "Yeah, I suppose it is good to know where we stand," Bree said, giving Taylor a small, genuine smile, "but I don't think anything'll change. We're just friends, Tay. Nothing more." She nodded, just to reinforce what she was saying. Hah. Like that would stop Taylor.
Worth a try, wasn't it?
She smirked some, and gave Taylor a light push with one arm. "Cheer up, grumpy," she teased. Grumpy. Angel Of Happiness. Oh, yes, Bree was just hilarious. Note the sarcasm. She knew she wasn't being funny, but Taylor looked like she could do with some cheering up. She lifted her friend's face and, on seeing she was crying some, used a gentle thumb to wipe away the tears. "Shh, no crying. Unless it's happy crying, then you can cry."

Taylor giggled. It was a sad giggle however having just been called grumpy really did cheer her up, it was quite ironic really. This made Taylor smile even more.
"Don't worry about me Bree, there have just been some certain events I remembered and I didn't know how to cope with them. Oh and thanks for calling me grumpy by the way."
Taylor sighed, she felt a lot better to have Bree by her side, however she wondered if she should ever tell Bree about her old group of 'friends'. She figured it would be best to not tell her now, Taylor had just found Bree she didn't want to mess up on their relationship when they have just reunited.
"Well suppose I had better find a place for me to stay for a while, I am sure there is something round here."
Taylor got up and stretched, she would think more about her 'friend' tomorrow. Taylor was tired and needed a good sleep, and some proper food would come in handy and well. Without knowing until it was to late, a low growl disturbed the silence. Taylor groaned, proper food was defiantly an order.

Bree laughed softly at Taylor's giggle. Sure, it sounded pretty sad, but it was better than nothing. She was just happy to hear her friend laugh, see her smile. She'd really missed it; and had only just realised how much. It had been really weird without her at first, but as Bree got used to it, she'd thought that she didn't mind anymore. Oh, but she did mind. It had been...kind of hard without Taylor there.
Her eyes narrowed slightly on hearing that her friend mention "certain events". Well, that was vague. She didn't know quite how to react to that. Asking what Taylor meant by "certain events" was out of the question. Not only was it nosy, but it could call up some pretty bad memories. Bree knew she wouldn't be happy if people asked her what "certain events" meant (she also used that expression several times) so she could safely deduce that Taylor felt the same way.
However, Taylor quickly changed the subject, so Bree barely even had time to think about what "certain events" might mean.
She snickered lightly. " 'S fine," she chuckled. "I'll call you grumpy more often if you like, it's fun." She poked her tongue out at her friend again. Knowing Taylor, she probably wouldn't like that. Well, he would because of the pure irony, but that wasn't the point. The point was that Taylor...was quite similar to Brent, minus the pyro and the random mood changes. She was like...Brent's female alter-ego.
She frowned as her friend got up and stretched, mentioning looking for a place to stay. "You...You haven't found a place yet?" she asked worriedly standing up as well. She remembered her guitar and notebook, and started to pack them up. It was getting dark; it looked like she'd be going home soon. But Taylor wouldn't be. Because Taylor didn't have a place to--
"Stay at mine for a while?" Bree offered, slinging her guitar case over her back. "Just until you find a place?" She laughed softly as Taylor's stomach growled. Well, that answered that question. There was no way that Bree was letting Taylor go hungry or...homeless. Nope. She was coming home with Bree. Just until she got on her feet in Carford. Then she could do whatever she damn well wanted.
Bree sighed, smiling, shaking her head fondly. She linked her arm through Taylor's, and began to gently pull her in the direction of her apartment. "Come on," she said, a slight laugh to her voice. Her and Taylor living together? This would be fun.

Taylor couldn't believe it, she was going to be staying with Bree. Well at least until she finds her feet and knows her way around the place, also she couldn't object in not going since already Bree linked her arm around Taylor and began dragging her to the directions she believed was to her apartment. She began thinking again as Bree chatted about how much fun they would have, did anyone else live with Bree?
Taylor laughed to herself, knowing Bree she would find anyone in distress and didn't look like a total pervert, and take them in. But that was the Bree she loved, as a friend of course, and she would want to see Bree happy and with someone who would love her back.
"Thanks so much for letting me stay Bree, I will eventually find my feet and find my own place. Though I won't go looking for my feet literally."
Taylor added her little sarcasm comment, she really had been dieing to say that for a long time. She made jokes with her 'friends' before, and Taylor had to admit it was a laugh, however they were more like empty laughs then proper pure laughter.
Taylor shook her head, she didn't want to get that topic in her head again, knowing Taylor she would start thinking of 'him' again. Yes it was a guy who was her 'friend', and he was the only one who almost made her feel real. However that was in the past, she would quietly remember the good days when Taylor knew she was in her own, however with other people especially Bree who she could never lie to, and anyone else she would forget about it. For now.
However all that mattered now was getting a good sleep and having a lot of fun with Bree. Yes this would be a lot of fun. However she just had to ask a question which had been stuck in her mind for a while now.
"Bree, does anyone else live with you in your apartment?"
