It had been a long day, Taylor had got the day off thanks you Bree and a little persuasion but Taylor was glad because today was going to be a good one. First thing Taylor does is stroll out of Bree's apartment, where she is currently staying, with a little black case. She never told anyone apart from Bree that she had interests in a certain instrument, she carried it carefully and made her way to Boiling park.
Taylor knew it wouldn't be that busy at this time, it was about late afternoon and everyone was either home or setting of home. Taylor placed her case down and opened it, inside was a silver flute, a gift from her 'friend' for her birthday, well it was kind of a late birthday present since he didn't know what to get her until she mentioned she missed playing her flute.
Taylor went to the edge of the lake and began to play, it wasn't any particular tune it was just something nice to play on a clear and cool evening like this. Taylor began playing a tune which her 'friends' taught her, however their version was a bit messed up but Taylor liked the tune and made her own tune out of it. It was defiantly a tune she would always remember, however it was just a pain that she couldn't remember the name.

"Hey, man, I didn't even see that piece of crap until it was busted. Who's idea was it to make it blue? Seriously, I thought they stopped making them out of paper back in the '60s. Plastic at least wouldn't have torn so easily! And look, it's got barely any heft to it! How the hell is it supposed to maintain any sort of stability? Besides, who the fuck flies kites these days anyway? Trust me, dude. I saved you from at least ten ass kickings here." Cal put his hands on his hips, looking pleased with himself for a second before his expression fell. "Aw, c'mon, don't start crying! That's cheating!"
The boy in front of him cradled his battered kite in his arms and started wailing. Cal looked momentarily flustered before he shoved his remote at the kid. "Here! You wanna play with my plane? Play with the plane, alright? And when your parents come to pick you up, make them get you a kite that isn't so retarded. Deal?" He grabbed his RC plane off the ground and showed the kid how to work it, leaving him with a flippant, "And you're giving that back! Don't break it!"
With a sigh, he headed toward the lack, keeping an eye on the plane as the kid experimented with the controls. Cal tried to look cool and roll his eyes, but his lips broke into a grin regardless. He was thinking about heading back and playing with the kid when music caught his attention.
Now, normally he was more of a Kansas and AC/DC guy, but he could appreciate good instrumental-type shit when he heard it. Plus, it was just so...cheery. Cal spotted the musician and walked up behind her, leaning against a tree. "Now if that's not a pretty picture, I don't know what is."

Taylor wasn't sure how long she had been playing, but with it being quiet it was a good opportunity to carry on a bit longer. The music Taylor was playing was quite a cheery sort of music, she would have to look up the music she couldn't remember.
Taylor opened her eyes to have a look around her surrounds, wait when did she close her eyes? Taylor ignored that though and continued playing, she noticed a child a bit further away playing with a plane and testing out the controls, Taylor smiled to herself this seemed to encourage her to play even more.
"Now if that's not a pretty picture, I don't know what is."
Taylor swore she jumped 3 feet in the air, Taylor stopped playing and turned to see a guy leaning against a tree. When in the world did he get here?
"Sugar honey ice tea."
Taylor looked at the guy and remembered what Bree said to her a while ago, always try and be polite.
"Uh....um...thank you, sir...um when did you get here?
Great now she was stuttering, she never normally stuttered, unless she was completely drunk or with her 'friend'. 'Dammit' Taylor though, this was just a little bit awkward.

Sugar honey ice tea. Now that was freaking precious. I laughed a bit. "You're adorable," I told her. "Did you know that?" Because someone like her should always be fully aware of her own cuteness, in my humble opinion.
I considered walking over to her, but she seemed a bit skittish, like a rabbit that you have to coo at from afar before you can get close. Staying where I was beneath the tree, I tucked my hands in my pockets and looked her over with a lopsided smile. "How long have I been where? In existence? 24 years. Carford? Two years. The park? Half an hour. Or did you mean, here-here? Like, standing here listening to you? Oh, not too long at all." I was just teasing.
Cocking my head to the side, I studied her uncertain expression. "Name's Callum Roderick. You're very good at that, you know. The flute thing. Mind if I...?" I took a hesitant step closer, afraid she might spook and disappear if I moved too quickly. It reminded me of being out in the woods, growing up, cautiously approaching a doe while she ate bark on the south of our property.

Taylor was actually quite surprised, she had never been called adorable before, well not by a guy anyway. Taylor thought she felt a small blush on her face but quickly ignored it. So his names Callum Roderick, Taylor smiled 'that is not a bad name.'
"My name's Taylor Mortensen, nice to meet you. You can come over if you want."
Taylor waved her hand to signal Callum could come over, it was respectful of Callum to keep the distance since this is the first time they meet. Taylor appreciated this and went back to her flute playing.
It was quite to have some company, not that she didn't mind Bree's company however it was nice to have a break once in a while to and to meet knew people. Taylor began playing another cheery tune, if she wasn't careful she may start twirling around since this was one of her favourite tunes. This kind of reminded Taylor when she first got on earth, her Demon 'friends' were very cautious of her and were kind of polite in a way since they gave Taylor some space, almost like what Callum is doing, however when Taylor got to know them and they got to know her, it was crazy. Those moments to Taylor were the good times.

My mind immediately started cycling around the name like an over-caffeinated child. "Taylor," I mused. "Tay, Lor, Lori..." And I realized perhaps a bit too late that the non-conventional options were a bit unfavorable. Table...Table Scraps, Tabletop Sex, Table...Tennis? Alright, Take-Me-Now, Take Me Or Leave Me, Take Me Out to the Ball Game, Take a Break...ugh. Tailspin, Tapeworm, Taser, Tasty Morsel, Tangy? These were awful and I had no intention of sharing them. "How about T-Dog?" I offered.
Sidling over to the slightly-less-skittish Taylor, I found myself a seat in the grass near her and listened to her play for a while. Sitting became pretty boring, so I leaned back on my elbows, legs stretched out in front of me. That got tiring, so I rolled over onto my stomach and watched her with my head propped up on my hands, elbows on the ground. Once I had been in that position too long, I rolled onto my back, hands under my head and watched from that angle as her lips worked at the flute. It was a really beautiful sight. I was just incapable of sitting still for long.
Once I heard a break in the music, I asked, "So, T-Dog, what's your story? Where are you from? Been in Carford long?"

T-dog? Ok, that was a unusual nickname. However despite it seeming to be a weird nickname, Taylor found no insult behind it. She smiled to herself and carried on playing. She saw Callum slid next to and sit on the grass, however after a while kept changing positions. Looks like he couldn't get comfortable, it was grass though so he shouldn't really get that uncomfortable quickly. Taylor paused in her playing and saw Callum take this opportunity to speak.
"So,T-Dog, what's your story? Where are you from? Been in Carford long?"
Taylor didn't think of her arriving on earth, or spending time in heaven with Bree, and then suddenly without her for a year. Taylor spotted playing and took a seat next to Callum, she sighed this was going to take a lot of explaining however she just had to question about her new nickname.
"I must say, the nickname you have given me is quite weird, however I don't mind it. It is unusual, and lets hope you haven't thought of any other weird nicknames."
It was a bit weird sitting next to someone who have just meet, however it kept Taylor company so she didn't mind. This reminded her when she first meet Bree, however Callum seemed to be more of the opposite of Bree, very outgoing, confident however he seemed polite and he didn't seem rude either. Well maybe not her anyway. Taylor began wondering if she should tell him about her life in heaven, how she fell and hung out with Demons for 2 years. Even so Callum didn't seem the kind to boast or spread unwanted news, so it seemed like she could trust him.
"My story is a bit on the weird side, I hope you don't go spreading rumors, that's the last thing I want, however you don't seem the type to boast unwanted news."
Taylor hoped she was right, however it was strange to feel her cheeks heat up a bit. She shook it off, she never felt her cheeks up before entering Carford. The last time this happened was when she was with Quinn, however he was in the past now, this was the present.
