So, Adam’s apartment was a shit tip. He wasn’t the most organised guy as it was and having such a small apartment didn’t really helped. Also the fact that the apartment wasn’t in too good shape before he moved in didn’t help either- the walls and floorboards were stained with god knew what, the walls were cracked and there was patches of peeled paint, there was hole in the skirting board in the living room and the heating only worked properly in the bedroom and kinda in the living room…but he hadn’t expected much with the money he was paying weekly and other than those little things it was an alright place…and now home he guessed.
Going to the kitchen in search for food, the young Nephilim knew that his fridge was near empty. Milk, some cheese, a pot of yoghurt…that was it since he only bought food that he was going to eat on the day. For example, yesterday, he had pizza. Today? Leftover pizza and if he wanted more food? He’d go out, buy it and eat it. Simple as that. Adam knew he was going to have to go out and get something more to eat, since he had a monster appetite and only have half a pizza after he ate one and a half yesterday…yeah he was going to want more food but for now, he settled with grabbing a couple slices of the really delish cold pepperoni pizza, taking a bite of one and putting the other onto a plate he carried into his living room. As he ate the slice of pizza he put the plate down on his small coffee table and went to go check the sock that he kept all his money in. Noticing immediately it was looking and feeling rather light which meant it was time to do some busking again. Soon. Not that he minded, oh no, he loved busking. There was something he found beautiful about performing music on the street for people that walked by just with his guitar and his voice. Sometimes he received quite a good lot of money and sometimes he hardly got any. It depended on the day.
Just as he was finishing off his slice of pizza- his intercom beeped. Oh? He wasn’t expecting any visitors but okay. He was cool with that. He went over to the handset and pressed the talk button “’sup?”

Getting clearance to cross enemy lines was not as difficult as it had been a century ago. Of course, it helped that Mori was one of the few being still in existence that could speak with either of the princes, but those were old, tired political ties, and he was still deeply disappointed in them for this bloody, endless war. In any case, all it really took in the end was a drop of his own name and a flash of wings to get him through the gates.
His great-grandson had returned from America, though he had settled down on the opposite side of Alderford. Adam had still made the effort to visit Moriel in Carford, so he was happy to return the favor. He didn't get to dote on his progeny quite often enough. The building little Adam lived in, though, was...worrisome. When he heard the young man's voice over the intercom, he smiled and tried to ignore the telltale signs of mold on the ceiling.
"Hello, Adam, it's your great-grandfather. I hope this isn't a bad time," he said. "I thought I might come visit you, if that's alright." Perhaps he should have called. But he did truly hate those telephones.

When the sound of his great-granddad’s voice sounded through the intercom Adam was mildly surprised. Moriel lived in Carford which was all the way on the other side of Alderford and not on very friendly terms with Alderres. Fair enough, Adam had visited the Fallen a couple of times himself but Adam was kinda new here as it was he could kinda get away with going to Carford as if he didn’t live right here in Alderres and instead, abroad, especially with his Essex English accent.
“Nah it’s fine Mori and of course it’s alright, come right up- the door will be open.” He pressed the button that’d allow his great-granddad access into the building then he went over to his door and opened it so that Mori could just walk right in. He turned around from his own doorway to look at the apartment from how his great-granddad would see it and well, shit. Adam kinda wished he did have a little notice in advanced just so he could tidy up a bit.
Adam went and picked up the second slice of pizza from the plate and bit into it as he took the now empty plate to the kitchen and placed it in the sink. “Sorry about the mess” He called out when he heard the light sound of the floorboard by the door creaking.
The soon to be nineteen year old teen peeked his head around the corner “Want a drink or anything Dede? Uh…bear in mind I’ve only got water, milk and I think I might have some teabags around somewhere for some tea if that’s want you want.”
