~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver had paid the owner to close for the day. He was going to come up with a new line of dishes for their menu. The owner didn't mind since Silver paid him a suitable amount to cover for a day's earning. Silver was now standing outside the restaurant and and trying to fish his keys from his pocket. He had bought a lot of ingredients and he was going to be cooking a lot of dishes. If only there was someone he could find to taste them. Someone who didn't know him well enough to give an honest opinion instead of a biased one. He sighed, being too popular had its disadvantages too. Now he knew how it felt.
Silver was frustrated a bit. The keys got stuck on his pocket and the bags were slipping on his hands. He was glad that he placed some of the bags down. But he wished he had done it to the rest of his shopping bags. And he watched as the tomatoes and apples began to fall out of the bag and the two bags in his arms had slipped and fell on the floor. All the vegetables were shattered on the ground now. He sighed in frustration. He wished that someone was there that very moment to help him.

The funny thing about being on Earth was that Ciel found himself almost always hungry. Even though this wasn't a bad thing-- Ciel thought that some of the Earth food was rather delicious, actually-- it was still quite troublesome when he suddenly found himself absolutely famished during recon missions or whatever. But on days off? Yeah, being hungry was nice. Or, at least, the food that was going to come was.
Then, he noticed someone outside The Dinner Table. So it wasn't closed after all, ha. He walked closer, rather pleased with himself for having noticed that it wasn't actually closed (because he was really hungry, damnit, and the nearest place that sold food other than here was... rather distant.), and then watched as a man ended up... well, with all his groceries on the ground. That was unfortunate. Ciel sighed, walked over, and started grabbing some of the vegetables and apples off the floor (there was no way he was going to get near those tomatoes, because they were already all squished and gross).
"I... don't think you should be using those tomatoes anymore," he said, looking at the ruined tomatoes on the floor. "You okay?"

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver sighed as he looked at the ruined tomatoes. Not that he didn't have any inside the pantry, it was still a waste. Then someone came and began to pick up the apples and vegetables. Silver looked at him and smiled. "Thank you for you help. And yes, I don't those tomatoes can be of use now." Silver said as he began to grabbed a few vegetables that was near him. He placed them bag into the bags and quickly stood up again. He fished out the keys and opened the door. Then he turned back to the guy that had helped him. "Thanks for you help again. Uhmm... Would you like to come in? We're close for the day since I needed the time to come up with a new set of dishes. I'm the chef. And you could taste my dishes as a thank you? If you don't mind that is." he said politely and with a smile.
He led them to the kitchen and placed all the bags on the counter top. He took off his chaleco and wore his apron. He smiled at the stranger,
[/color] "Have a seat. I'm silver by the way. Silver Angelus Briell. I hope I didn't end up bothering you." Silver said with an apologetic tone. He took out his knives and readied the ingredients he was going to use for his first dish. Something to do with beef. Yes, that was his first dish. something beefy. He smiled as he began to slice the beef he had defroze before he went grocerry shopping.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Click Here // Tagged: Angel Ciel // Notes: Am I Ever Glad That Your Here

After a moment of considering (which wasn't too long at all), Ciel nodded stiffly and followed Silver into the restaurant. Free food sounded very nice. "Sure," he said. "But I'm warning you; I eat a lot. It probably won't be just tasting."
He then sat down at a table where he could easily watch Silver cook. An... apron, huh. Well, he wasn't going to judge the guy on his clothing choices. Then he took out his knives (oooh, knives! Such useful contraptions) and got some... huge chunk of beef out, slicing it. Ciel wasn't actually sure what he was planning on making, and since he was a rather picky eater despite being in the army, he really hoped that anything that Silver decided to make was, well, to his liking. It wouldn't be very nice if he had to tell the chef that his food kind of sucked, would it?
"Ciel... just Ciel," he replied the stranger, not really wishing to tell him (or anyone) his last name. 'Darling' was a rather embarrassing last name, after all, and as proud of it as he might be, he didn't exactly want the whole world calling him 'darling'. "No, this... this is no trouble at all; I was feeling hungry anyway and if I'm going to get free food, I'm definitely not going to complain."

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver smiled at Ciel. Well at least Silver won't be eating alone today. He planned to cook three types of dishes at the same time. True that he didn't control time or manipulate it to his will, but Silver always managed to do a lot of things without noticing the time. He took out three pots of different sizes. "Well, I'm glad your hungry then. Because you'll probably be eating a lot of dishes this afternoon, Ciel." Silver said as he turned to stoves on and began to cook. Once he had began, it was a different world for him. Silver's passion for cooking rivaled his passion for dating.
It was a solid thirty minute time span and he was now finishing up his dishes. He took three clean white plates, placed a single serving on each plate from each pot and he added a few garnishing. He smiled at his work. Yes, he had done well. He hoped that it was good, though he knew it would be. It was different when someone else was eating it. He grabbed the plates and present it to Ciel. A fork and napkin for each dish. Then Silver went to the wine rack and took out a bottle of Vino de Tavolla. He grabbed a wine glass and poured half into a glass and placed it in front of Ciel as well.
[/color] "On your right, is Balti Beef Recipe, in the middle is Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry w/ Peanut Sauce, and on your left is Beef Enchilada. Go ahead and taste what you like first." Silver said as he took out the chicken and was about to start cooking again. He was going to use chicken this time.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Click Here // Tagged: Angel Ciel // Notes: Am I Ever Glad That Your Here

After thirty minutes of waiting/daydreaming/a bit of both, really, because Ciel's mind tended to wander off to while away the time. Watching Silver cook had been fascinating, but there was only so much that Ciel could take before he started to get bored. He'd never been gifted with the appreciation of watching other people do stuff, no matter how fascinating a thing they might be doing. It had gotten him into a fair bit of trouble when he started staring off into space when his superior officers were giving him instructions.
The food looked delicious, Ciel would give Silver that much-- it certainly smelled amazing, too. He grabbed a fork and ate some of the beef enchilada-- shit, that was amazing. He hadn't actually expecting for the food to be so good; this would probably cost a whole lot. "This is amazing," he said, trying to tell Silver what he thought of the food while chewing it at the same time. Damn, this guy was talented. Then, he took a bit of the stir fry, which was exactly as good as it looked. The balti beef wasn't as great as the other two, but still pretty awesome nonetheless-- and, most importantly, it was all better than the shit that they got served in the army... even though that wasn't hard to achieve. Army food was barely recognisable, by taste, sight and smell.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver watched as he was nearly done with thefirst chicken dish and was doing the second one. He was glad that Ciel liked it. "Well, I am glad you think their good. You're having chicken next. And after that pork. Then desert. I make the whole menu myself and I am so lucky to have met you today. Its totally different when other taste my cooking. People who I do not know so much. It gives me an unbiased comment. Feel free to tell me how they taste. Comments and constructive criticisms are very much welcomed." Silver said as he took out the pork from the plate and placed it near the empty sink. He was going to wash it after he finished with the chicken dishes.
While cooking his third and finishing his second dish, Silver thought that he ought to start a conversation.
[/color] "So 'just Ciel'. What is your last name? I'm curious. It can't be that bad. Besides, its only fair that you share it since I told you mine without hesitation. Right?" Silver spoke with a sincere smile. "I promise not to laugh. It can't be as bad a Chanchad right? That's the last name of a friend of mine. When I found out, I just smile. It was a unique name. Like everyone else's. he added as he took away the first three plates and got three new ones. With a little design here and there, Silver's chicken dishes were done.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] "Alright. This time, on your right is Kung Pao Chicken, in the middle is Chicken Salad Cups, and on your left is Orange Chicken. You can be honest and tell me how they really are." he said with a smile. He had a bottle of Ariel Blanc ready. He grabbed another glass and poured a helping for Ciel with a smile.

As much as Ciel might love eating, he honestly wasn't sure that he could eat all of this. It was... a lot. "You should eat some, too, y'know," he said, gesturing to the food. "There's seriously a lot; I don't know if I can finish all this!" Still, he took a bit of the salad cuppy chicken things, only to spit it out immediately. He grabbed a napkin and wiped his mouth.
"Too much..." he waved his hand funnily, gesturing to the weird orangey things on it. "Too much that. The taste is waaay too overpowering." Ciel then grabbed the glass of Ariel Blanc and gulped it down to wash out the taste. "I mean, no offence meant, of course," he said, hoping that he hadn't offended the man. He knew some people who could get really bitchy if someone insulted their creations.
He offered Silver the ghost of a smile when he asked for his last name. No, no, bloody hell, Ciel wasn't going to be telling anyone his last name, and especially not some stranger that he had just met on the street... even if said stranger was giving him free food. "Chanchad's a stupid name," Ciel said, munching on the orange chicken. This one was much nicer than the salad cups. "But mine's not much better, so. Anyway, no one knows my last name, and I don't plan on anyone ever knowing it... except for my platoonmates, because it's really annoying how my superior officer keeps shouting out my last name." He internally grimaced at this. It was really weird to have his superior officer keep yelling out 'Darling, (instructions here)' and stuff.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver didn't push. It would be rude if he did and tried to pry out the name from Ciel. Then Ciel had spit out the Chicken Cup Salad. He stopped and took a taste of the chicken. And he sighed, Ciel was right. It was a bit too much. He shouldn't have added cheese on top. He took out his notepad and wrote it down: No shredded cheese on top of the chicken cup salad. Then he smiled back at Ciel and shook his head. "No I don't mind. I did say that you can speak freely. And you can keep your last name. I'll know sooner or later." he said as Silver went back to cooking. He was nearly done with his first dish. And with that, he left it to cool and started on the second one.
Silver looked up at Ciel,
[/color] "So, your in the army then. Well, I can tell that they don't serve good food there. If they did, I wouldn't be cooking for a few soldiers during the weekends when they come around and get off time from their training." he said as he turned on another stove for his third dish. He would love to taste his own dishes but this wasn't the right time for him to do so. He will later on. Then he smiled at Ciel, "You know... i think I'm lucky today. Just when I needed someone, you came along. Your like my guardian angel... In some sense." Silver said as he chuckled.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Then after ten or so minutes, he was done. He hoped that Ciel still had room for pork.
[/color] "Pork this time... On your right is Sweet & Sour Pork, in the middle is Sesamed Pork, and the on on your left is Apple Stuffed Pork Chops. Now this will be the last set of heavy meals. Desert is next. And still, be honest if they taste bad." Silver spoke with a sincere smile. Truly, Ciel was like a guardian angel. Appearing when needed the most. He poured ciel a glass of the red wine he had brought out earlier.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Click Here // Tagged: Angel Ciel // Notes: Am I Ever Glad That Your Here

In between chews, Ciel laughed at Silver's comment about army food being shitty. "Well, I guess it's because the army doesn't have too many skilled cooks, and our kitchens definitely aren't as well-stocked as yours," he replied, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "They make sure that we get enough food and nutritious stuff, so it's okay, I guess."
The sweet and sour pork and the apple stuffed pork chops were nice enough, but Ciel didn't really enjoy the sesamed pork-- probably because Ciel didn't like sesame as a general rule, but still. It seemed rude to not try something that he had already offered to, though, so he munched on it and tried not to grimace. "The sesame one tastes a little funny, but I think that's just because I don't like sesame," he commented. "It's probably just me."
He smiled when Silver commented that he was a little like a guardian angel. Well, that was technically what he was, right?-- a guardian angel, albeit a rather shitty one. Ah, well. Bad memories that he didn't really need to remember... like how he'd been shunned by his fellow guardians and everything. But never mind; Ciel was pretty sure that Silver didn't mean it, and at any rate, Ciel was on Earth now. There were so many more opportunities and stuff for him-- he didn't need to think about stupid things anymore.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver was glad that every pork dish he made was alright. He chuckled when he said that all soldiers just needed the nutrition. Silver begged to differ. "Even soldiers need good food. And even they need to be treated well since they are training up to protect the city and all." he said as he went to the fridge to take out the dessert he already made before he left.
He was glad that he did it before he went shopping for ingredients. Desserts take a bit longer to make than the dishes he cooks. He took away the plates first and placed them aside. Then he placed the dessert in from of Ciel.
[/color] "Alright... The last set of food your going to eat... And your taking those food with you went you leave. I'll bring some too.... So, on your right is an Ice Cream Sandwich, in the middles is a piece of Marie Claire Chocolate Moist Cake, and on your left is a slice of Caramel Apple. And for your drink, a glass of Falooda. Its milk with the freshness of rose. Go ahead and tell me what you think while I wrap up food for you to bring. And you cannot say no." Silver said as he went to the stock room to get food wrapping plastic and Tupperware for the dishes.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Click Here // Tagged: Angel Ciel // Notes: Am I Ever Glad That Your Here

What Silver said was extraordinarily true; soliders did need good food! It was just unfortunate that they didn't usually get any good food, mostly due to the fact that good food couldn't really keep in war conditions. "Protecting the city or not, everyone needs good food. It's just that most people actually get the good food that they deserve, but the situation doesn't allow for soldiers to get their food," he said, smiling.
Silver came out carrying a bunch of desserts, which was, to be completely honest, Ciel's favourite part of any meal. He was a complete sucker for sweet foods of any kind, especially chocolate. Gleefully, he dug into the chocolate cake, and basically moaned in delight when he tasted the wonderful sweetness of chocolate on his tongue. Damn, he hadn't had chocolate in much too long. After drinking a bit of the falooda, which he could honestly say that he'd never had before, he ate some of the ice cream sandwich and the caramel apple.
"This isn't usually what comes to mind when one says 'caramel apple', y'know," he said, laughing. "Usually, it looks more... appley. I'm not complaining, though; it tastes really good." He smiled. "And I'm not gonna say no-- food is always welcome." Goodness knows he needed the extra yummy food.

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver smiled as he watched Ciel dig into the dessert. And from what he was looking at, Silver could tell that it was Ciel's favorite part of any meal. He smiled as he placed food on the containers and sealed them shut. He took out a cloth bag and placed all the containers in and the extra dessert on top. Then he returned to Ciel and placed the bag in from of him.
Then he began to think, he could do this once a week, during his break. Yes, he'd cook for a few people: Rancho, Todd, and Ciel. Then Ciel can bring back food for the other soldiers he is friends with. Silver smiled to himself.
[/color] "Ciel, I would like to ask for a favor... I hope you won't mind but... Can you come over to my place every Saturday to taste new dishes I want to add to The Dinner Table's menu?" Silver asked with a smile. Ciel was fun to cook for since he was honest and not biased. He's really say what he thought about the food and not hide anything. Silver wanted that kind of opinion.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] Outfit: Click Here // Tagged: Angel Ciel // Notes: Am I Ever Glad That Your Here

✝✝✝✝✝ Although the invitation to taste new dishes at The Dinner Table every Saturday was very tempting to accept, Ciel knew that he couldn't make it. There were times when his platoon had to go for stakeouts, when his regiment required that he stay over the weekend... it was tough, yes, but he couldn't skip out just to eat nice food; so it would be really unfair to Silver if Ciel promised to come over every Saturday but was unable to make it most of the time. Being in the army did this to people...
"I'm sorry, Silver," Ciel told him, flashing an apologetic smile. "I can't; my schedule's tempremental at best. You have to understand that I would really love to, but it's just that I have my difficulties."
It was a bloody silly explanation, but a valid one nonetheless. As much as Ciel would love to hang around every Saturday and taste delicious food for free, he simply couldn't. Now he really just hoped that Silver would understand. "I might be able to come over sometimes when I'm released, but I can't promise you something like every Saturday."

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~ Silver was placing every plate, pot and pan in the sink and dishwasher when Ciel explained why he couldn't make a promise to come over. Silver understood. Soldiers had to be kept and trained. He simply shook his head and smiled. "Don't worry about it then, Ciel. When your off, come by then. I'll cook you new dishes so you can still keep up with the new world menu and not just the food those army schools shove down our throat." Silver joked as he pushed the bag of food towards Ciel.
Then Silver placed all the plates and forks in the dishwasher. "What's it like being a soldier? What do you usually do?" Silver had to ask. He was just so curious. He'd seen soldiers come and eat at the restaurant from time to time. And he wondered how the felt, knowing that they might actually die during a battle.
