Here he was, out of the house for a reason other than work or Silver and Rancho dragging him out into the wild. God, didn't they know that there was no way he was going to give in to them if they pestered him about it. Well, most of the time. It was two against one, okay? How was Todd expected to put up with their harassment? Besides, they usually managed to bribe him with food too, so not caving eventually was an impossibility.
As a waitress came over and placed Todd's coffee down on the table in front of him, he gave her a grateful smile in return, although he noticed that she was... smiling a lot more than necessary. It was almost as if she was... holding back a laugh. Oh. Yes, here was the main reason why Todd preferred staying inside: he could escape being laughed at for his unconventional fashion sense. This was how Todd dressed, he didn't see how it was anybody else's business. He felt comfortable, that was all that mattered. Todd was only here to reacquaint himself with the outside world, after all. He was just going to have a quick cup of coffee then go back home again. Tada. Simple. There needn't be any form of teasing involved within his plans.

Natesa was just wandering around Alderres that day, nothing much to say or do. Well, she still had to unpack, but that was so...boring. She had all her furniture sorted, it was just her possessions. Sometimes, Natesa cursed having Electrokinesis and not Telekinesis. Telekinesis would be so much more useful; she'd never have to waste time doing boring things when he could do them with her mind! That would be amazing!
Before Natesa even knew what had happened, she found herself in some kind of shop. She arrowd her eyes at the small room. It was a pretty, pleasant place, but so...ordinary. And expected. Well, that was if it was a coffee shop. Oh, gosh, what if it wasn't? Natesa actually found herself grinning at this prospect. What if it was some kind of amazing super awesome cool shop that was a coffee shop in disguise? Wouldn't that just be amazing?!
But...but what kind of shop would it be? Natesa went back to trying to think. Well, it was a coffee shop. What would you least expect to find in a coffee shop? ...Whit clothes? Any kind of clothes that weren't being worn? Natesa's eyes widened, and she grinned. Yes! She'd cracked it! It was a clothes shop in disguise! Oh yes, Natesa loved her clothes.
She pointed her toes, and began her strange little hop/skip/dance that she did in jubilation. It was an odd movement to people who witnessed, but to Natesa, it was as normal as breathing. It came just as naturally, anyway. And besides, however cool the whole prospect of a shop-in-disguise was, she still thought the coffee shop alias was a bit boring. Maybe she was doing her little dance just to liven things up a bit.
Well, it certainly livened things up when she tripped over some stranger's chair, that was for sure.
She fell flat on her face, but jumped up and laughed. It didn't really hurt, just made her feel a little stupid. Nothing she wasn't used to. She supposed she should apologise to the stranger thought; after all, she could have pulled their chair out from under them or something.
She giggled slightly. "Sorry, Mister Dude!" she laughed, without turning around. She didn't know whether they were male or female, nor did she have any powers that would help her to know.but she had a pretty good knack for sensing that sort of thing. And this person felt male. She turned around though, just to be sure. "I was being a bit dork-"
Now, she had meant to say "dorky", but her voice trailed off at the sight of the stranger. Thankfully, she'd guessed his gender right. But that wasn't what fazed her so. What fazed her was that awful outfit the man was wearing! Natesa didn't think she'd ever seen anything so hideous! That...that jumper...oh, god. Yup. From this guy's get-up, Natesa could tell that this wasn't a clothes shop in disguise.
"Hmm..." she mused, taking in the man's attire. "I guess we're even?"

Gosh, he was practically having a heart attack because of that. When he saw some young woman fall on her face, Todd was about to ask if she was okay but she was back on her feet almost instantly, like it was something completely normal. Well, maybe it was completely normal for her? Todd was rather clumsy but he was rarely ever quite that bad.
He frowned at the name 'Mister Dude', wondering if she'd hit her head really badly and had gone mad. It was a possibility, okay; to Todd it was, anyway. "Um. That's okay. Are you alri-" Todd stopped mid-sentence, mouth dropping open in horror at what the girl had just said to him. He'd just seen the way she was looking at his clothes! He knew exactly what she was getting at! "Hey, I'm not dorky. Neither are my clothes. Or anything." he protested, a slight whine to his voice. He couldn't be that bad right? Todd hoped so anyway. But, still, he didn't care what people thought. He was going to wear this whatever other people thought.

Natesa waved her arm dismissively as the man started to ask if she was alright. Nyeh. That was nothing. She'd done that and much worse before, and had never got badly hurt in her life. Most of the things she'd done were prank-related, and therefore all worth it. The occasional bruise from a paintball gun, or a bit of burnt clothing from an electric bolt. Natesa loved her clothes; it was a shame when that happened.
But here? Yes. It would be an improvement. The patterns and the material actually hurt her eyes. She squeezed them tightly closed, determined never to look at something that hideous ever again. But this now meant that she was effectively blind. And she'd kind of have to be able to see what the guy was wearing if she was going to critique him properly on what he should to about...that situation. She opened her eyes a little, and sighed. Oh yes. Oh, yes, he did look dorky. She chuckled slightly at his ignorance, and pulled up the chair opposite him.
"Okay. I'm just going to tell you straight." she told him, resisting the urge to rip that disgusting excuse for a jumper right off of his body. Why? Why would he do that to himself? "Please don't take any of this the wrong way. But...the jumper. Has to go. The socks are just...ew. And everything else? ...Just don't get me started." She nodded eagerly at her words. She smiled at him then, showing that was she was about to say something good. "Those, though," she said, gesturing to his glasses. "I like those. They can stay."

He didn't like that sigh. It wasn't a good one. Maybe she'd just go away now and let Todd drink his coffee? ...Or maybe not as the girl had just pulled up the chair that sat opposite him at the small table.
So some child - yes, Todd was going to call her a child now - had just basically insulted almost all of his outfit. Of course he was going to have a different fashion sense than some young girl. Well, Todd seemed to only dress similarly to old men but, whatever, that was how he had been dressing all his life. He couldn't just suddenly.... change everything that he wore. One of the reasons behind this being that he didn't even think he could afford to and that this was what Todd was comfortable wearing.
"No... It's all staying, okay? Thanks for trying to help and stuff but... no thanks." he narrowed his eyes at the girl in his best attempt to look menacing which probably really failed quite epically. He didn't even care that she'd actually liked his glasses.

Natesa just chuckled at the man as she shifted the hat on her head slightly. Don't get her wrong, he loved her hats, but sometimes they got a little hot and uncomfortable. There was the occasional need to move it slightly so that it didn't get too uncomfortable to wear. What was the point of looking awesome if she didn't feel awesome? Simple answer; there wasn't one. It was just easier to be both fashionable and comfortable. There was no way she'd be one or the other.
This guy, though, had obviously just gone for the one. Comfortable. Sure, he looked pretty cosy in there. Cosy, as in he looked a bit like a tea cosy. Ugh, Natesa hated those things. What were they for, anyways? To keep a teapot warm, or something like that? Whatever. Point was, they rarely did their job properly, and they were almost always absolutely hideous. It wasn't necessary to dress up a teapot in something that would make it look heinous and not give it a single benefit.
Back to the clothes, though. Yes, they could most definitely be compared to a tea cosy. It obviously wasn't doing anything for him, except maybe the comfort one, but why go for one when you can go for both? Where was the fun in that? Natesa certainly didn't see it. She didn't see any fun in this at all. In fact, all she saw was stars. Oh, god, was it so bad that she was passing out? She hoped not.
She laughed as the man narrowed his eyes, and she rolled her own. "Aw, that's cute," she snickered lightly. "You actually think you have the option." She swung her legs a little bit on the chair she was sat on, and started picking at her nails. "Look, I'll be frank. I'm taking a home fashion design course, right? This kind of thing is what we get warned about. Can't just let you walk around gettin' laughed at, can I? That wouldn't exactly be fair." 'Course, maybe she was stretching the truth a tiny bit, but details, details.
She looked up at him, her eyes wide and a grin tugging at her lips. This was one thing about Natesa that one could guess instantly; wide eyes paired with that grin? She was plotting something. Didn't even have to know her to guess that. She'd be thinking something, and wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer. "After you finish up here, come back to mine, yeah? I'll help out a bit. Don't worry, I won't change too much. Just enough for it to actually be socially acceptable."
